THE HOG WILD COUNTRY FESTIVAL – LET THE FUN BEGIN!
Diamond X Cowboy Ranch is gearing up for an awesome Hog Wild Country Festival which is set to be packed with fun activities for young, old, the adventurous and those looking for a unique festival experience. If you have not visited us yet, here is what you can expect.
Action packed program
The Hog Wild Country Festival is a two-day festival that starts on Friday 27 April and runs till Saturday the 28th. It all takes place on the Ranch so expect a complete authentic western cowboy atmosphere! Activities for the 27th include interactive cowboy games such as horseshoe tossing, corn-hole toss, roping and horse demonstrations. For the tough and brave there will be a mechanical bull and for the little ones jumping castles and pony rides. Visitors will also be able to have their photos taken in our western style photo booth and enjoy contagious line dancing with our Rodeo Girls.
Entertainment galore
On Saturday visitors can also expect live entertainment that is hosted in cooperation with the SA Country Music Artist Foundation. Starting at 10 am you can enjoy the best of Ranch food, craft beer, our western saloon and a beer garden. There will also be a spectacular horse show as well as various line dancing groups that will be performing including our very own Rodeo Girls. Prepare yourself for a special performance by South Africa’s legendary brothers, The Campbells!!
Enter in our best-dressed competition
Get your best cowboy outfit ready and participate in our best-dressed cowboy and cowgirl competition. The category for this competition includes Baby Buckaroos, Junior Cowpokes, Seasoned Cowhands and Veteran Wranglers.
